Problem Solving Advice
Keep a pencil and paper handy and definitely an eraser.Get your kids to read or look at the word problem ensuring they know what they are trying to do.
Next look for letter and clues given in the word problem.
Get them to try an answer and then see if it fits in with the existing letters.
If they are stuck just try any answer...rather than just looking at the problem...pointing out why it might be wrong.
